About Commissioner Kyle Butler

Kyle Butler serves as the Ellis County Commissioner, representing Precinct 4 and all Ellis County. First sworn into office on January 1, 2015, he continues to serve the residents of Precinct 4 through his current term ending December 31, 2026.

Lifelong resident of Ellis County  

Graduate of Waxahachie High School  

Married to Robin Butler  

Proud father of six children and grandfather of eight

Worked 17 years at Tyler Refrigeration  

Joined Precinct 4 Road and Bridge in 2006  

Built a career focused on infrastructure, roads, and community service

Member of the Ellis County Commissioners Court  

Represents Ellis County as a member of North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and Emergency Preparedness Planning Council (EPPC) and alternate representative for Regional Transportation Council (RTC)

Re-elected multiple times, including the 2022 general election and 2026 primary
